[File] Adding text/gemtext to file

Hi,

I’m working on a Gemini/Web browser called Offpunk ( https://offpunk.net 
).

As it saves every ressource to a local cache, it heavily relies on file 
to get the format, which is working fine 99,9% of the time.

The main problem is that "file" seems to have no knowledge of 
text/gemtext format , used in the Gemini network.

Gemtext is most of the time assumed as plaintext or markdown (which is 
fine) but it is also sometimes considered as something more exotic (like 
message/news ).

Is there a way to add text/gemtext support to file?
